Cromarty firth Marine ServicesCFMS have our own containerised Pommec CDMS 18982 DDC 1600 MM mobile decompression chamber, which can be hired for use in diving projects
The chamber is a pressure vessel for human occupancy (PVHO) with two compartments: inner lock and outer lock. It operates as a single unit, with the outer lock not pressurisable separately. The chamber supports two customized hyperbaric chambers integrated into a dive system, with specific dimensions and weight (3000 kg). The chamber is IMCA D023 D018 industry standard compliant.
The dive chamber operates by simulating the underwater pressure experienced by divers, in a controlled environment. The pressure is then gradually reduced, forcing nitrogen bubbles which have formed in the blood, to dissipate back into a solution. This allows safe expulsion from the body during respiration.
